April 25th “Fireside Chat” with Alisha Outridge at the Women Inspire Tech NY Meetup A lot has changed since I started working in the industry back in the 90s. Fortunately, it’s for the better. Even though women only make up 31% of the IT work force*, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 46% of new tech positions have been awarded to women since the start of 2013. At the April 2013 WIT meetup, I had the honor of sharing social engagement tips that people can do to improve their career from my experience growing up in the Tech industry at start-ups, agencies & enterprise companies. It was quite an inspirational group!
