Why do people search for "Facebook" instead of just adding .com to the end to go directly there?
In fact, almost all of the top 10 search terms in the U.S. were either social networks or companies that offer social features like free email. Newer sites, like Pinterest and the dating site Plenty of Fish, were also in the top 50 this year.
