The native share feature of the Android platform is fantastic because: Future-proof : any apps that I install to my phone which enable me to share will automatically display in this list Not app-dependent: I want app developers to focus on building a great app in their niche not keeping up with what social networks every possible user might want to use.

The award-winning Twitter petition site Twitition.com conducted a study into the effect of tweets on rankings in Google. It produced interest results on how engagement on Twitter helps content rank higher in Google Search Results. The specific recipe is known only by Google but the observations are very telling.
